Labour of the month for February.

Light in the dark, she clutches her child in the snow, warmed by the candlelight. This relates to the feast of Candlemass on the second of February, the ' last hurrah of the Christmas cycle'

The chap on the left is taking vengeance, 'go out into the snow with one of the candles lit, drip wax into the footprints of your enemy and wait by their cottage for their screams'.....

This print comes from a recent exhibition in collaboration with writer Amy Jeffs and artists Louise Boulter and Hebe George.

Printed onto Hahnemühle Photorag. This paper produces bright colour reproduction and excellent detail. The paper has a smooth cotton feel with smooth colour gradients.
