Alizarin Studio offers personalised tuition for artists of all ages, encouraging creativity, confidence and the development of individual artistic styles.
This autumn, Polly is launching a new programme of art classes for both adults and children from her welcoming home studio in Upton Noble. Class sizes are deliberately kept small, allowing every student to receive individual guidance and progress at their own pace within a relaxed, supportive and inspiring environment.
One-to-one tuition is also available for those seeking tailored support, whether developing a personal creative practice, preparing a portfolio for further study, or receiving professional portfolio feedback.
Polly is a previous visiting tutor at Camberwell College of Arts on the Illustration MA and on the MA Communication Design at UWE. Current tutor for BA Illustration and Foundation in Drawing at the OCA .
Additional workshops and tutorials have been led at The House of Illustration, UCA Farnham and Maidstone, Kingston University.
Polly holds an up-to-date DBS.

Adult Group Classes:
LEARNING TO PLAY using Watercolour techniques.
3rd NOV - 15th DEC
7 WEEK COURSE on Tuesdays 9.30-11.30 am / 12.30 -2.30 pm
As adults, the freedom to play within art can feel more intimidating. This course is designed to help you explore one material each term, learn
techniques, loosen up, deepen your knowledge, and create with greater freedom.Through enquiry, revision, and experimentation,
you will develop your artistic practice and personal visual voice.Each course runs for one full term, giving you the opportunity
to develop a concept from beginning to end using a single material. This course runs in weekly two-hour sessions for 7 weeks.

Portfolio reviews- preparation for Foundation, Degree or MA courses.
Building creative thinking: This one-to-one course will introduce you to methods that will help you brainstorm ideas and transform these into completed work. This tailored course will help develop your own concepts to increase confidence using materials of your choice.
Parent-and-Child classes or Groups of 2. Classes that can be tailored to your personal interest.
