The medieval zodiac- Scorpio.

The narrative is about the conflict of human virile desires, represented by the scorpion and the protective force of the cat. The two forces are looking down at a scene of women dancing in the forest who are caught between their virginal nature and more carnal instincts.

This print comes from a recent exhibition in collaboration with writer Amy Jeffs and artists Louise Boulter and Hebe George.

Printed onto Hahnemühle Photorag. This paper produces bright colour reproduction and excellent detail. The paper has a smooth cotton feel with smooth colour gradients.
